My brothers and I just recently found out about Larry’s passing and wish to extend our heart felt condolences to his family. I was living across the street in high school when this big handsome fellow and his beautiful wife moved in. They were full of energy and laughter every time you talked to them. He would always have a humorist greeting for you. I believe at the time he was an ambulance driver and she was the nurse. He later went into law enforcement in garden city and still stayed a great person. He and his wife were a positive influence to all those who’s lives they entered. He was always playing ball with his two sons in the driveway till they were old enough for organized ball. He later would organize his kids and a couple of kids from the end of the block who’s father past, to see professional wrestle at Nassau Coliseum. He and his wife were the Type of people that many would say “they don’t make them like that anymore”. Their children grew up with that kind and considerate attitude showing that the acorns do not fall far from the tree. Larry and his wife left this world a better place then before , and now have enriched heaven with there presents. I know my brothers would agree with every thing I have written, so I’m leaving this by closing off with,
From the “Seven Sons of Sally and Tony Schmidt”

I offer the family of Larry my deepest sympathy. I knew Larry and Sue for many years at St. Raphael's. They both worked at our Saturday night Bingo and always had a smile on their faces. I am sorry for your loss. May his soul rest in God's peace and may God bring you comfort in the days and months ahead. You will all be in my prayers.
