To the Clarke Family
Today I found out the sad news. I am heartbroken, Gerry was like family to us growing up. She was a kind , gentle woman, and when it had to be a tough cookie. I will always cherish the memories going back all the way to Astoria. She and my mom were always close. I remember when Gerry first got her license, and then my mom and her went to a woman's auto care class at the High School., too funny, I can still hear her joking with us kids, or calling us at the Uniondale house to ride our bikes over because she made her delicious Cinnamon nut cake ( which btw my mom gave me Gerrys recipie) .
Too many memories. I know she tried talking to my brother years ago about family, sadly he didn't take her advice. You guys were truly fortunate to have a mom who showed her love to you all, and always put you guys first. You can be proud of yourselves for being there for her. I will always hold her in my heart, may she rest in peace.
