I can remember when John Derosa passed away. As children we were devastated for the Derosa family. Helene who was a widow at an early age continued to be both father and mother to John and Christine.
I was always in awe of her strength to forge ahead and not only get by but to do so valiantly who always succeeded to provide for her family monetarily and emotionally.
She was always a strong presence to not only her family but to friends and families around in our beautiful and quaint little town where everyone knew each other.
I will never forget Helene or her late husband John and I feel fortunate to have known them in my life.
