A truly fine human with all of the best character traits that you would want in anyone. It was always easy to admire him and for so many reasons he honored me and others with his friendship. He devoted his life to his family and he never failed to meet his responsibilities as a son, as a father, as a friend, as a lawyer and later also as a judge. His principles, his values, and his judgment were never in question. Honesty and integrity were his unspoken middle names. He also approached challenges with quiet leadership skills and if issues were serious, he always brought levity and perspective, when appropriate, and always with due respect to those involved. More than all of this, he was always gracious in extending genuine friendship to everyone even if others lacked civilities and issues were heated. He was a monumental friend and I am certain that he will remain in the hearts of the many lives that he touched. To Joann and his family,please accept my sincere condolences.
