Our Aunt Helen was a rock. As a registered nurse she attended to any family member that was hospitalized and I believe was present at the birth of all 12 of her nieces & nephews. I know she personally administered to my Mom when she was in the hospital and dying from cancer. Aunt Helen was very knowledgeable and was always available to lend an ear and give advice on any family members medical issues. Her many other talents included but were not limitted to sewing, cooking & flower arranging. She was a wonderful hostess and a loving Aunt to us all. We all have so many memories to cherish. We personally remember over the last 35 years going to many a wonderful & delicious dinner with Aunt Helen , Uncle Tony and their dear friends Lily & Suei at various restaurants. They were connoisseurs of fine Asian food and introduced us to many new dishes. I remember Aunt Helen helping me sew my many legs and tentacles when I made my Ursula the octopus Halloween costume, fishing on their boat -The Happy Ours, warm summer afternoons in her pool, baked stuffed lobster, cheese sticks, yeast cake, fas nachts, spaghetti carbonara & lemon shrimp over angel hair pasta ... just some of our favorites that she made! Fun loving at 90 years young, Aunt Helen hosted her own birthday party and what a wonderful celebration of her life it was! Attended by almost everyone it was a blast! And lucky for us Aunt Helen spent some time staying with us at our place in Jupiter the last few years. We have such fabulous memories of those visits. Every suggestion we made, she was up for it! From private cruises on the Intracoastal to plantoon boat rides on the Loxahatchee River, from the Morakami gardens to the Elliot museum, from golf to RummyKub from fine dining out to dinners at home (where she always took over in the kitchen)! Last year we baked stuffed cranberry dumplings together. Delicious! Let us not forget her incredible generosity to all 12 nieces and nephews every Christmas over the past several years. She loved life and lived it as such & she loved her family even more. She was not meant to die so young and will be sorely missed by all of us!
