It was one week ago today that I watched from the nursing home window as you took your last breath. Unfortunately Covid 19 prevented me from holding your hand and kissing your cheek . You have always been a constant source of laughter and support in my life. I’m going to miss our phone calls and the laughter we shared and the sound advise you gave.
I will miss most the energy you bring to our family gatherings. You were the pillar for all family functions. There is not one memory I have about the family where you are absent.
Time will not heal the void left after your passing but your children, grandchildren, AND great-grandchildren will honor your memory. You will always be loved and never forgotten.

Grams, you will be missed terribly. Such wonderful memories I have as a kid and into adulthood. Your famous pastina and grilled cheese. Sleeping over the Merrick house in the extra bedroom, playing with your antique hair brushes and flipping through your photo albums. Doing inventory with you at Dress Barn. Grabbing a bite to eat at McDonalds. Talking with you of flowers and our Shih Tzus. I am forever grateful to have had you in my life. You were there for so many of our important events. Our daughters were so lucky to have had you in their lives. They love their GG Nancy. As we love you Grandma. May you Rest In Peace.

I was given her bracelet making stuff and I found in the jar the last bracelet she made was for one of your daughters if you see this def get ahold of me so I can get it to her I will finish going through all of her jewelry making stuff because I am 10000% she made one for each your girls and I know she would want them to have them.

Many fond memories of Aunt Nancy so many stories of her and her brother my dad Richie Sr growing up in Elmont. My dad loved her so much his famous saying My Kid Sister Nancy and how he protected her when they were young. I lived in Elmont years after my parents passed and one day an old man named Sal who lived on Biltmore ave down the block from my house approached me and said Hi Vinny how are ya you look so much like your dad when he was younger and went on about memories and he told me one day he was on Savoy ave and he started teasing Nancy she ran home to get her big brother Richie my father and he chased sal until he caught him Sal told me he couldn’t believe how bad my dad beat him up and told him you leave my sister alone. Sal said he was never beat up so bad. My entire life both my parents always spoke so highly of Nancy my mom adored her and always said Nancy was her favorite sister in law they were very close and mom said she was very supporting of her and welcoming to her when she came into the family and my dad idolized his kid sister. I cannot believe she is gone and from this terrible virus I pray she is a peace and with Uncle George and her family God Rest your soul Aunt Nancy the Matriarch of the Milack family I love you
