It is through faith that we draw our strength in times of sorrow. While we mourn the loss of a loved one, heaven is rejoicing with open arms. Bob and I had many discussions, mostly about politics, religion, and the fire department. I will miss him dearly and our periodic calls to see how we were both doing.
He was bigger than life at our Engine 85 and Ladder 59 reunions, of which he participated as one of our hosts. The stories that filled our tables with a continuous upheaval of laughter as we reminisced the old days were one of Bob's favorite events. Bob loved the FDNY, and the men he served with his presents will be greatly missed, but his memory and stories will live on forever. On behalf of the reunion, a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation was made in Bob's name. All the brothers wanted me to express their deepest sympathies. Till we meet again, rest in peace.
