Obituary

Meehan – Adele Anna, 84, Wantagh, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 6, 2020. She was born on August 16, 1936 in Ozone Park, NY, the daughter of Pasquale and Maria Cresci. In addition to her parents, Adele was predeceased by her beloved husband George Meehan Jr.; his daughter Collette; her brother Armondo Cresci; and her sister Lillian Scordino. Adele is survived by her loving children, Dianne Meehan-Cundy (David), Michael Meehan (Tracy) and Cathleen Parks (Jeffery); her 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; her loving sister, Mary Pastore (Peter); and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Family was everything to Adele and she was everything to her family. She met and married her husband while they were working at U. S. Aviation Insurance Group in New York City and enjoyed traveling. She later enjoyed many years volunteering in various hospitals’ gift shops and loved to play MahJong and word games. Family will receive friends Friday December 11th, 3 to 6 pm at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home, 603 Wantagh Ave, Wantagh NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday December 12th, 9:30am at St. Frances de Chantal R. C. Church in Wantagh. Cremation Private.
