I am so fortunate to have met Maureen when she moved here to Albuquerque. After her Mom passed, we spent a lot of time together - small business meetings (which, we both agreed, were way too serious), walks along the mountains, three-hour lunches and good, hard, confidential conversations, car rides to explore our Boonies, etc. Both of us, originally from Queens, had so much in common. We taught each other how to age gracefully, have good energy and a great attitude. She was always there for me during some trying times. We spent these last few years texting often and occasionally, actually speaking to each other via phone because we needed to hear the other's voice. That she will be missed by so many people is an understatement. My condolences to her amazing, very special family.
