Although not there physically, do know how saddened I am to know of his passing. I cannot even begin to imagine the loss of a son, much less two. Jerry and I met via a blog he used to run and had developed a friendship over the last 14+ years based on many shared life experiences, and a common sense of humour. We had planned to meet someday at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. It is a deep regret that we won't have a chance to do that. My heart goes out to Joanne and his children. Jerry was an absolutely wonderful man. He will be missed.
