I have known Vinny since I was a little boy. Coming to work with my father, we would visit Melco where Vinny and my Dad would smoke cigars in the slow season. When I decided to enter into the same career as my father, Vinny would be the one I would call, because there were no cell phones in existence. Vinny would kindly and graciously talk me through any problem I may have been having on the service call I was on. He continued to assist me and my brother after my father retired, helping us through estimating jobs, steering us in the right direction. Vinny would say my brother Steve and I were his unofficial sons. He always had a joke, a corny joke, but a joke. He always came out of his office to say hello to us. You were friend, a mentor and a father figure to me. You will sorely missed, but you will forever remain in my heart as one of the best people in the refrigeration industry and in my life.

We are so very sorry for your loss. My husband and I have known Vinnie for over 40 years. He was a legend in the refrigeration industry and most importantly, a cherished friend.
Our relationship with Vinnie began with my father in law. My father in law immigrated here from Germany and worked his way through the ranks as an HVAC mechanic. He would bring my husband (who was then 9 years old) into the supply house often. When my father in law became a mechanic, he struggled with writing work invoices because he was still in school learning the English language. Vinnie took the time to write out different templates of repairs that he could copy from so that would have a proper invoice to present to customers. My husband always looked at Vinnie as a surrogate uncle.
We vividly remember his smile, laugh and warmth. Our personal world has suffered a great loss by his passing and heaven has definitely gained another angel. You will all be in our hearts and prays.

Dear Laura and family. I just wanted to express my condolences. I was reading the obituaries in Newsday today and I saw that your dad passed away. I’m so very sorry. He was such a wonderful man.
