Lorraine Nicols Rice passed away on October 10, 2021. Her husband was the late James F. Rice, community teacher and coach. She dedicated her life to her family, friends and the church. She is survived by her children—Lorraine Meyer (Christopher), James Rice (Joan), Terrence and Christine Rice. Her pride and joys were her grandchildren--Shannon Gilhuley (Mike Dean), Luke Meyer, Paige Meyer, and Brian Rice. They loved her dearly. “As their Nanny, Lorraine is a smile who will live in their hearts forever!” Lorraine has two surviving siblings…Loretta Nicols Riley (James) her TWIN sister, and Dr. Joseph Nicols, (Patricia). Her in-laws admired and adored her as well. She shared many great memories with the Rice family--The Robert Rice's (Joan), The Lynch’s (Joan and Dick), The George Rice’s (Caroleann), The Kenneth Rice’s (Patricia) and The Trani’s (Dorothy and Frank). Her nieces, nephews, and godchildren fondly remember her gentle and caring ways. God truly blessed us all with an amazing mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
