I am so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I worked at Jones Beach many years, and was fortunate to have met him. Everyday he would greet me with a smile, and we would chat.
He will surely be missed from me and the Jones Beach family that he was close too. May you look down upon us Charlie and keep smiling. Fran

Charlie was a great man with a strong spirit, and mental toughness that allowed him to live and enjoy life despite of his condition. Always remember the laughs and fun I had with both Charlie, and Joe growing up. Charlie, you are in a better place, May you rest easy my friend.

So truly sorry and saddened to hear of Charlie’s passing - nothing but the fondest of memories of our times together so long ago as soccer teammates; first at Wisdom Lane and then at Levittown Memorial - RIP my friend - Tom Ashley

Charlie was a great guy with an incredible insight on life as seen through the eyes of a Paraplegic. I have many memories of discussions with Charlie on the boardwalk at Jones Beach. He was always a comedian with his humor and will be missed.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Charlie. I would see Charlie every day at Jones Beach when I was the Park Director. I would visit with him on the Central Mall boardwalk and talk about a variety of subjects and current events. He was a great guy and a true inspiration to all of us. He made the best of his situation displaying courage and never complaining. God needed another angel and welcomed him to heaven with open arms. God bless Charlie, his family and friends.
