To my father in law “Edward G. Hurley”,
You were in my life for nearly 38 years and during our conversations I know that you were proud to serve in the Army, NYPD and Masons. You were proud of your daughter Nancy and her caring qualities which was the main reason she became a Registered Nurse. I remember when we attended both ceremonies when you were appointed two terms as Grand Master of your District in the Masons acknowledging our attendance proud of Nancy being a Nurse and I as a Police Officer in the late 1990’s.
On one occasion during the many summer vacations to Lake George, you made a point to bring your Police Academy Graduation booklet from 1954 showing the graduates as we noticed that there were two female graduates which was out of the norm during that time period.
Nancy was always there for you and your bride through the years as I had witnessed. You will be forever in our hearts and dearly missed. I salute you to the life you had may you rest in peace with the “Love Of Your Life”.
