Fran always was willing to help someone out with directions, advice on a certain topic and other items. He also had a way of finding humor when someone told him something they would be embarrassed about. One time a coworker of ours mentioned how he would never let his daughter marry an Italian and the moment Francis found out that the coworker's daughter had married an Italian, he started leading the ribbing about how the furniture would all have to be covered in plastic and more!
Another time, Francis helped show me the way home with short cuts because traffic on the main roads were backed up and I did not know the area that well having just moved into Levittown. At one traffic stop light, i lowered my window and asked him if he would like an Oreo cookie that I had in my car and he laughed and told me I was a nut. The next few days he told the story and told our other coworkers how crazy I was. The way he told the story had others laughing for a few minutes.
I sure will miss his Cheshire Cat smile that he always had.
