We had the pleasure of meeting Ardashes a few years back on New Year's Eve while out to dinner with Gary, Jade and Julia. What a lovely man, a lovely family. Heaven has truly gained another angel. Our deepest condolences to the entire Yerganian family at this difficult time. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Our PAPA was a simple man who responded to God’s love by placing his faith in Jesus, receiving the assurance that his sins were forgiven, and that he would not perish but would have everlasting life. It was a simple faith. He's more alive right now than he's ever been. “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8
What joy Papa now has as he is welcomed by God the Father and into everlasting joy with God..
Papa loved Jesus; when Mama would read the Bible to him and when he heard the name of Jesus he always teared up saying, “Oh my sweet Jesus whom I love.”
Papa knew Jesus is our GOD, the Creator and loved that He died for us so we can be set free!! Papa himself was willing to give up his own life (Christ-like) for anyone!! That’s LOVE!! “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13
He will be missed by many…

To my Godfather,
This is a man, who my mother Klaydis Choukhachian loved, respected and trusted, when she decided to give responsibility to Ardashes making him my Godfather. Growing up and learning what it meant to have a Godfather was great visiting his home who welcomed me as one of his Son's. I was so proud of him, respected him, loved him that I looked up to him as my own father!
My second family, who I loved being around Clara, Kariene, Gary and Var during my childhood, those were the days! I remember fake sleeping, so I can sleepover and my parents wanted to wake me up, and Ardashes said, "let Edo and Eric stay with the kids, it's okay". I felt loved, safe at home. All of us under one roof (flushing queens) we were all in heaven!!
Ardashes will always be in my heart; God rest his soul and hold him in your arms with joy and love ❤.
Amen!
Edo & Valdeci

Ardashes, how we will miss you. You were an indelible part of my childhood - when i first met Gary almost 53 years ago. You were always inviting, and I never was a stranger in your home...my other home on 169th Street. The kind reassurance that Cookie meant no harm - as she was biting my ankle. The silliness of us fishing together and having so much fun doing it. You were passionate about everything you engage in. The world is a less kinder place without you. My condolences to the entire family. I am truly sadden with your departure. Here's to the other side!

Ardashes Yerganian, the patriarch of the most beautiful family that I have had the pleasure of knowing.
A gentle soul, a forever twinkle in his eye, always welcoming, always loving, always smiling and always opened his home and his dinner table to everyone.
There was hardy a time when the Yerganian home wasn’t filled with family and friends. Always eating, laughing and enjoying life.
Never a nasty comment, saw the good in people BUT also taught me to ALWAYS throw the first punch, don’t cock your arm back stupid but throw it from the side, unexpectedly !
LOL, perhaps more complicated than meets the eye…
And he gave me the greatest gift of all, Gary.
I wish I could have told him that, but I truly believe that he knew.
Ardashes was a special man. He will be missed tremendously by everyone he touched.
May he Rest In Peace and may G-D bless his soul.

Ardashes will be missed. You always knew his presence because he gave his attention to everyone at family gatherings. You could see the love in his eyes for his Clara and children and grandchildren. He always had a story to share and was always interested in your stories as well. I always remember him saying "This is the greatest country to live in." We love you Ardash. Thank you for being a part of our lives. Joe, Denise and Family

As a young pre-teen my dad wouldn’t allow me to go anywhere other than family, except to Kariene’s house, because Clara and Ardash were like my second parents. They welcomed me as part of their family, even before they actually became family when Kariene married my cousin Albie. I have so many loving memories growing up in their house and know how much he will be missed. Love to Clara, Kariene, Gary, Var, Taleen, Celina and extended families. Also to my cousin Albie cause I know he loved him like a Dad. May he RIP xoxo

Teenager, just having moved to the US, I was lucky that my father was friends with Ardashes. I was invited with open arms into his and Clara's home and became friends with Gary and Var. Jade and Gary characterized him the best in their tributes. My father was working overseas; I needed someone to guide me in life. Ardashes and I had many conversations during my visits to his home. His smile and positiveness are instilled in me today, and I owe it all to him. He was a man's man yet a gentle soul. His respect and kindness to his wife Clara are teaching enough. His love for his children was tremendous.
Life happens, and we get busy with work, marriage, and children of our own and sometimes forget to visit people that help us become who we are. I am guilty, but I will never forget what Ardashes contributed to who I am today. Rest in Peace. Love you. And love you, Clara jan.

Growing up everyone had grandmas and grandpas, nanas and pops but from the start Taleen and I knew we had something special no one else had. Something beyond just grandparents. We had a metspapa and a metsmama. Special names to fit the two most special people that this earth has ever known. Most kids grow up with their grandparents around but our metspapa and metsmama weren’t just around, they were immersed in our lives. Every single aspect of it. And I know for a fact they wouldn’t have had it any other way. In fact our metspapas famous questioning every time we needed to leave was why? Why do you want to leave me? Why do you need to go home? This is your Home and not a day in our lives have we ever questioned that. Not a day did We question our papas unwavering and unconditional love for his girls. Not a day did I think I needed to call before i just showed up at their home. Because nothing brought our papa more pleasure in this world than to be surrounded by his family. Taleen and I often joked our whole lives that if it were up to uncle Gary and uncle Var we would all live in one big commune together. And I realized recently where they got that mentality from. And it was from their incredible father. All he wanted was us to be together all the time. If he knew we were there with him, he knew we were safe. Our papa the king of worrying about everyone. Our metspapa, the perfect example to everyone that’s ever known him as to what a man should be kind, generous, loving, warm, strong, brave, generous and his family’s protector. From early morning fishing trips to having our very own personal hairstylist, from slumber parties to nose kisses - to say we will miss you
just doesn’t quite grasp the magnitude of how deep our grief will be. But we will remind ourselves no matter where we are we are home because you are with us. We love you Our metspapa Jan, always your girls, your babies Taleen and Celina

A special hombre.
Mr. Y was very inspirational to me when in my formative years. I’m fortunate to call his son, Gary, one of my best and long-time friends. Even more fortunate to have known his great father.
He welcomed me into his life, home and family. Fully engaged in all aspects of my early childhood – from feeding me tasty Persian goodies, fishing with me, taking me to the beach, driving me to school and laughing about our neighborhood mischief.
What an incredible man with the biggest heart. Set an amazing example for me and my family – immigrants from different parts of the world, different languages, culture and food. Yet a common bond to conduct your life with gratitude and a great spirit.
Such a genuine man. An amazing blend of approachability and love yet an immense internal strength.
My biggest regret is never being able to tell him these things. But somehow I feel he already knew.
I will miss his big smile and will always love his whole family.
Rest in Peace,
Mike

A tremendous loss to our family and to all those who knew him.
For me, he took the ‘in law’ out of the phrase.
I was his daughter and I felt it in every way.
His love for his family was unlimited. It was one of the most
notable things I felt when I first met Gary. The gatherings at the
dinner table with ‘Pa’ at the head always smiling, always sharing,
always grateful for his beautiful family the he loved
so much. His beautiful Clara, the love of his life, by his side,
shining and sharing in this pride. I was beyond blessed to be a
part of the love in their home.
Pa’s heart and arms were always open wide for all who came in
contact with him. Didn’t matter who you were, or what your purpose
of contact was. You mattered and you we’re respected. He lived his
life by listening to his heart. It spoke loud and clear to everyone, and
you felt it. He will me missed more than words can say.
Forever in our Hearts
I Love you Pa, Always

My father was an example of how a human being should conduct himself in life. He was a person with a giant heart who endeared and enriched all who came in contact with him. He so enjoyed talking, listening and telling stories with family and friends. He taught us all the meaning of family and respect and raised us all with great love . With his rock, our Mom, he was able to be the best version of himself. Together they instilled values in us that are immeasurable. He so loved his Clara and relied on her strength throughout his life. As she was his greatest love, it helped him to be the best husband, loving father, father in law, grandfather, son, nephew, cousin, friend and great grandfather one could be. Always a warm smile, almost never a complaint, he provided for his family and made me what I am today. His spirit and loving self will be with us forever. Love you Pa, Garen
