After not having seen Fran for almost twenty years, we caught up one night with some (equally old) friends from school. He hadn’t changed a bit. I’ll remember him as always enjoying a laugh, warm and super friendly. I loved his stories of the roller coasters! He lived! My condolences to his family. He’ll be missed.

We were so sorry to hear of the loss of Francis Holz, brother of our pastor Father Holz. It is such a tragedy to hear of the passing of a man in the prime of his life. However, as Catholics we know that he is in the hands of God, at peace, and no longer suffering from his illness. We pray for his family, his mother, and his brothers and their families. I have been best friends with Fran Holz for 30 years! I must say it has been my deepest pleasure to have met such a nice person. He has been there to help me out in many situations and I have done the same for him. Over the years, we have taken so many road trips as well as trips to Coney Island in Brooklyn. He always loved the rollercoasters! Many times these trips come to mind as they were always so much fun. Those good times with Fran will then continue to always come to mind and it would be my sincere pleasure to re-live them.
