I taught Sarah in nursery School when she was only three. I remember her mom and her dad coming to pick her up. My heart is broken for that family they are a beautiful family and he was a incredible man. May he rest in peace and I pray for his wife and his family.

Chris, it was such a joy to meet up with you back a couple of years ago when we both worked at Tutor Time. It brought back wonderful memories when I used to babysit Laura and Sarah. Rest in peace. My family and I want you to know that you will be missed. Michelle Massa

Chris and I worked today at C.I.F.M. on Rikers Island. He was one the best bosses to work with. Chris’s attitude and work ethic made it that much easier to work in a prison. We remained friends after retirement and I went on occasion to see him and his band perform. As long as I knew Chris there was always a smile on his face. My condolences to his wife and daughters. The pride of his life. Thanks Chris for our friendship and Rest In Peace brother.

Chris, The Righteous Brothers had it correct when they said “if there’s a rock ‘n’ roll heaven you know they have a hell of a band” I know you’re enjoying playing with them now. Not only did you make the NYC Correction Academy a happier place to work by your antic dotes and “Chris isms” but you have always brought a smile to others you touched in life. I have such happy memories of jumping up on stage with “Flashback” and joining you and your band in your rendition of Tommy James “Dragging the Line “ You could make anyone feel like a Rock Star. My family and I send our thoughts, condolences and prayers to your family at this difficult time. You are one of a kind and will definitely be missed. RIP My Brother, Rock On !!

I worked with Chris in the 70's painting stripes on construction barricades. It was absolutely the worst job imaginable, but also the best job because I got to be with the funniest guy in the he universe. My wife Lori, myself, and the entire Lovece family are saddened. We wish comfort for the Angyal family.

I worked with Chris at Tutor Time for 3 years. The laughs we shared will always have a special place in my heart. He always spoke so beautifully of his wife and daughters, proudly showing pictures and sharing how much he loved his family. They say we take the love with us. If that’s the case, Heaven is radiating with the joyous love that Chris held in his heart. My condolences to his family. He was a blessed man indeed. Gina Critelli

I worked with Chris for only about a year but it doesn’t take long to realize what a great guy he is. Chris and I bonded over music. Which it seems like many have that in common with me. I’ll never forget one time I needed to give him a ride to pick up a bus. We had a really nice talk. We talked about my dad and my love for classic music and how it always made me think of my father. He also told me about some of his “old days”. He had great story’s just like my dad and I would refer to him lovingly as my work dad.
Well the next day he burned me two CDs with some songs he thought I would like. I did. That was just one of the many chats we shared. Chris was really one of a kind. We have frequently kept in touch through the years and I will miss him. I send his beautiful family my love and strength during this difficult time. Rest easy Chris.

I am so, so very sad to hear of the passing of my old and dearest friend. Chris, how well I remember all of the wonderful and crazy things we did growing up in Little Neck. It was Christmas Eve, 1967 when you and I (for whatever reason) decided to take a walk around the neighborhood during a heavy snow storm. We sang Rascals songs. We sang Hendrix, Cream, Doors, Spoonful, Beatles and God knows how many other songs of the day that we loved. In a driving snow storm. Oh, to be fifteen again!!!
How I looked up to you for advice every time we sat down to "Jam" on guitar and bass. You always knew every chord and every word to anything we were playing. What incredibly joyous times these were.
And, how many times did you and I sit together in Mr. Boehr's office after being "ejected" from class. Especially from Mr. Weinberger's English class!!! What at trip it was attending JHS 67.
My friend, it has been far too long since last we spoke. I miss you, brother. Words cannot express how much I miss you!!!
Captain, you have much to be proud of, my friend. I watched you achieve everything you wanted in life. Success, a beautiful family, a very happy home and a life well lived. Just not long enough. I am so very proud of you. And, I too am proud to call you my best friend. Rest well, brother. We will meet, talk and Jam again. Rock on!!!

Chris and I worked together in Corrections for years at C76. He was a truly GOOD man as well as a great Capt.. I remember those days when the others in our office would be waiting to go home on a Friday and Chris would say, “gotta make that overtime for the family”. Chris will be missed by his Correction Family and I couldn’t begin to tell his wife and daughter the heart felt condolences I feel for them. There will be sweet music from the angels as Chris has joined them.

“ A MAN IN FULL”
Chris couldn’t control external conditions all he could do was be a great man and boy did he personify that. Levittown was so lucky to have Chris and his beautiful family as our neighbors.
God truly tested Chris with some of the most awful and painful cancers ever inflicted on men. But it never changed his character” oh it’s only chemotherapy” I still love to walk the dogs play with my grandkids and zip around town in my mustangs.
My only complaint about Chris was he was the only person on this planet who paid to get into Woodstock. I know when Saint Peter opened the gates to heaven 1000 dogs yelped to be walked by Chris.
Thank you for always saying hello you always made my day better.

Chris was a beautiful person through and through. I was the lucky recipient of a great friendship and numerous "assists" ever since meeting my former next door neighbors Chris and Sharon back in 1982. My deepest condolences and sincerest warm thoughts go out to the entire family. I expect them to be overwhelmed by great thoughts, memories and well wishes of all the many many people that were lucky enough to have Chris in their lives on any level.
