McAleese – Helen of Merrick, NY on March 23, 2022, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Jack. Loving mother of Jack (Barbara), Neil, Robert (Nancy), Patrick (Mary), and Kathleen Schramm (Eugene) and foster mother to 6 foster children. Cherished by her 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Adored sister of the late Albert (the late Phyllis). Helen was the rock that held her family together. Family meant everything to her, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We were truly blessed to have her as our mom. Family will receive friends Friday, 2 pm – 4 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home, 603 Wantagh Ave. (Exit 28N SS PKWY) Wantagh, NY.
