Dear Dan and the entire Mancini family, I feel like I knew your mom from all of the wonderful stories my sister Caroline had shared about her over the last few years. I actually got to meet her one day, when Caroline and I went to visit her at the Bristal Assisted Living facility. I remember we both got a kick out of something she quietly said about one of the ladies at the lunch table, who I believe was dominating the conversation at the time! My heart goes out to you and your family on her passing. You were blessed to have had her in your lives for so long, but I know that can make losing her even more difficult. May she rest in peace. P.S. Both Mark and I also fondly recall Mrs. Mancini's kindness, patience, and tolerance of the many New Years Eve jams we had in the Mancini basement or living room. She was a saint :).

From what I knew of Fran Mancini and admired greatly was that she loved living, learning, and engaging with the world. While her life wasn't always easy, she had a knack for looking at the bright side and making the best of a situation. I so appreciated her willingness to write about her experiences in, "The Five Sisters" and in her "Letter To My 13 Year Old Self". These give a glimpse into her life, a life that was well-lived. We will miss you Fran! Our condolences to Dan and her family. Caroline & Mark
