John N. Arigo passed away peacefully, after a long and valiant fight with lung cancer, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the age of 66. He was inseparable from his high school sweetheart and beloved wife of 45 years, Carol. Loving and proud father of Lauren Maslov (Andrei), Peter (Rosemarie), Stefanie, Melanie Wengrod (Joseph), Cheryl, and the late Stacey Lynne. Cherished by his nine grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Milana, Brandon, Luke, Gabrielle, Samantha, Valentina, Sienna and Avery. John was raised in East Meadow and has been a dedicated member of the community all his life. He was a practicing CPA for over 40+ years. John and Carol continued the family tradition started by her parents by taking over Pietro’s Pizzeria and Italian Kitchen on East Meadow Avenue. He was a member of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club of East Meadow. John was known and loved by many and his impact on the community was unparalleled. He will be forever missed. Family will receive friends Saturday, 5 pm – 8 pm, and Sunday, 2 pm – 5 pm and 7 pm – 9 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home: 2515 N. Jerusalem Rd.
