It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Donna L. Doherty on December 11, 2022. God’s best angels have escorted her to heaven. She was 58 years old. Though we are broken hearted at our loss, we take comfort knowing she is no longer in pain. She is now laughing with her dad and grandma Carey, enjoying a few beers and chasing our old dog around like she used to. Born in Grenfield, MA and raised in the town of Orange to William and Mary Herk, Donna grew up in the backwoods with her siblings Robin, Heidi, Debbi and Randy. The siblings were inseparable in their youth, exploring the forest and swimming in the lakes. After high school, Donna left Massachusetts, trading the lakes for the beaches of Long Island. It wasn’t long before she met the love of her life, John and soon after gave birth to her pride and joy, Brian. She was most happy being a mother and caring for her family. She was always ready for a good time, hanging with her family and sharing stories. She had a gentle and forgiving nature, and we will miss her with all our hearts. Beloved wife John. Devoted mother of Brian. Cherished daughter of Mary and the late William. Adored sister of Robin, Heidi, Debbi, and Randy. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
