Obituary
Dean Juan Santiago, 63, started his journey on Guam at a U.S. Navy Base on January 21, 1960 and ended it in New York on February 7, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer. During that time he was a Navy medic, and later, he became an entrepreneur. His two children, Alexia (Frank) Giampaolo, and Adam Santiago survive him. He was the younger brother of Dale Santiago and Melody Santiago. He shared the children with Doris Cancel. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, February 17 beginning at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary of the Isle in Long Beach, NY. Family will greet friends after the Mass. In a nod to his Naval service, he will have his ashes scattered into the ocean on February 18. Arrangements have been made through Charles O’Shea Funeral Home in Wantagh, NY.
