I grew up next to Ed and was friends with Brad since before we could talk. I will never forget Ed and will always remember him as a terrific father, wonderful neighbor and kind hearted man who welcomed EVERYONE in his home. I feel very lucky to have known him. My deepest sympathies to Brad and Barbara and to the rest of the family

Eddie was a terrific and unique person..I met Ed at the YMHA (playing basketball), in Far Rockway when I was 12-years old (1967). While a fierce competitor, he never played dirty or rough, and was NEVER mean-spirited or ill-tempered. His smile and his easy-going nature were completely genuine. He always saw the good and positive in people and situations. No matter the circumstance or occasion he made things happier, friendlier, and better. He treated EVERYONE with kindness and respect and was never judgmental. Growing up in Rockaway was a challenge... his friendship, companionship, camaraderie and zeal for everything we did together will never be forgotten....a special human being....a tremendous loss. My condolences to Barbara, Bradley, his family and friends. Ken Feldman
