So sorry to hear of John’s passing, he was the face of MetroNY AALAS for so many years and was the reason that so many of us supported and participated in branch activities. Nothing was to big or complicated that John couldn’t see a way to facilitate it. He and Caroline Murray were the team that I first met when I came to NY and now we’ve lost them both too young. Rest In Peace, John. You are missed!

I am so saddened for all of us. John was a leader in AALAS and in many professional ways. My best memory of John is the year he saved the TriBranch Symposium. I heard on the radio early one dark morning that the Adam's Mark had sold itself to a developer and would become a Target. Metro New York was going to run the following year's Symposium, so I called John and told him what I had heard. We both said "But we have a contract!!!" and then John went to work. He called me again a few hours later, having verified the news, and said he was going to get working on this. He did. John not only saved the symposium, he took it to Atlantic City, at the convention center, and pulled together a very successful meeting. Thank you John for your amazing leadership, and for the foresight to keep the meeting going in such a grand manner. You made this profession of LAS a warmer and kinder place.

We can’t believe that it was less than a week ago that we saw him and Helen. He and John were talking about our kids and laughing about the fun experiences they had coaching girls softball as co-managers. He was such a kind, joyful, wonderful man. His spirit will be alive in our hearts always. The angels are certainly welcoming him with a standing ovation. Rest well, dear friend. —Arlene and John Vosilla
