Our deepest sympathies to the PASSERO family.
John was a dedicated husband and father who always put his family first. He was a great friend and confidant to me.
John would do anything for anyone, especially his family and friends.
I met John at work in 1996, we were both proud members of The Teamsters Local 282. John and I worked on a 2 year project together. We carpooled and were together 15 hrs a day. In all those hrs, never a misunderstanding or disagreement nothing but true friendship.
John had a great sense of humor. I remember on a job a worker would say “ good morning Vito” to John. I said “ did you change your name?” He laughed. The next day John started calling him by another name. The worker said to John “Vito that’s not my name” John responded” that’s ok
Vito isn’t my name”. Just a great sense of humor everyone loved him on the job.
After John retired we’d try and talk once a week or so. I’d call him on my ride home, reminded me of when we carpooled. I’ll really really miss that time we shared.
Rest in peace my friend. See you again.

Our condolences to all of John's family, especially to my sister Carol and her 3 boys. John and Carol could not have loved each other more and their love has seemed to grow every year over the past 40 years. John was a fantastic and loving dad to JP, Steven and Bob. John was our photographer for our wedding 34 years ago and we're proud that he was. We happily joined John and Carol when they renewed their vows on their 25th anniversary in St. Thomas. Carol was quite surprised to see us there! Sue and John would joke about being "outlaws" (and Margaret) in the family. We will miss John's friendship, the infectious smile on his face and the twinkle in his eye. . Love you John.
Bob and Sue
