In Loving Memory of Dorothy Fatsis:
Dorothy J. Fatsis, cherished mother and wife, passed away peacefully on July 9th, 2023. Her warm presence, unwavering love, and gentle spirit will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Dorothy's death leaves a void that can never be filled, but her legacy of love and kindness will endure through the lives she touched.
Dorothy was a loving daughter, sister, and friend, known for her compassionate nature and selfless devotion to others. Her greatest joy in life came from her role as a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Dean, and a nurturing mother to her children, Maggie and her husband Chris, Tommy and his wife Jess, and DJ. She poured her heart and soul into her family, always putting their needs above her own. Dorothy's unwavering love, support, and guidance shaped the lives of her children, providing them with a strong foundation and a sense of security.

A natural hostess, Dorothy had a talent for bringing people together. She had a gift for creating warm and inviting spaces where family and friends felt welcome. She delighted in preparing delicious meals, hosting holidays, parties, and creating lasting memories that will be treasured by all who shared those special moments with her.
Beyond her immediate family, Dorothy's circle of friends was extensive and cherished. She valued the bonds she formed over the years, and her friendships were a source of strength and laughter. Whether it was enjoying a glass(es) of wine, taking weekly walks, or engaging in heartfelt conversations, Dorothy cherished the time spent with her dear friends, and those moments will forever be treasured.
Dorothy dedicated an incredible forty-two years of her life to Winthrop University Hospital (now NYU Langone at Winthrop) as a registered nurse, where she tirelessly served her patients with care and expertise. Dorothy's colleagues admired her unwavering work ethic, her ability to comfort and heal, and her genuine empathy for those in need.
