It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Joanne Himmel, on August 23, 2023. Joanne was an amazing person full of life and passion. An avid sports fan, she loved her NY Mets and the San Francisco 49ers. She is survived by her sisters Deborah Purgar (the late Joseph), Karen Barbieri (Joseph), Michele Rose (Ron), and Carrie Jaycox (Frank). Adored by many nieces, nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins, and many friends. We will share memories and stories of her life and she will remain in our hearts forever. Family will receive friends Friday, 2 pm – 4 pm and 7 pm – 9 pm, at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home, 603 Wantagh Avenue (Exit 28N SS PKWY) Wantagh, NY.
