Irene and I began working together in January 2022 and I feel like I have known her for much longer. She was a very caring colleague and a friend. She took time to get to know people, share her work and like knowledge and experience. There are so many fun moments with Irene. She was always open to trying new types of food and exploring places in NYC. I hope she knew how much she was appreciated and cared for both as a colleague and a friend. I will miss Irene.

Irene, you came to our team just a few years ago. But you fit in so well, it seems like you were there forever. I don't exaggerate when I say that your experience, and your skill with people and processes, was key to all the successes we have had in that period. I will miss our frequent late Friday afternoon phone calls which always began "Sorry to bother you...". You were never a bother, always a help, often a savior. I only hope you understood how much a part or our working family that you were. We are all better for having known you, our colleague and friend, my colleague and friend.

Irene joined our team on April 19th, 2021, to help us with release management during the pandemic times when we were all working from home and almost a year into the work from home mode. She started joining the weekly development meetings and helping in the release process. She was always very detail oriented and showed a keenness to understand the others viewpoint. Overtime we started moving back to office and in a very short time she was the go-to person for confirming the upcoming release deadlines and for its paperwork. What always struck me was her due-diligence and her willingness to be involved and contribute. In a world where everyone feels overwhelmed and things every now and then seem to be spinning out of control, she was around managing all the small and big things she needed to care about. She went out of her way to get into meetings to understand what’s in store for the team in the near future and kept reminding everyone of the upcoming expectations. Every so often she used to come by and tell me to take one thing at a time and not to stress. A very sweet person who fondly baked cookies and made sure no one missed out. Of all the other little things that are memorable, her thanking multiple times for even a small little help that was provided will always be remembered. She had mentioned a few times that she loved being around all of us and it made her feel like she had an extended family.
You have left an indelible impression Irene and you will be gravely missed. Farewell!

I just learned of Irene's passing today. We met at church, but became good friends over the years. I will miss our chats about baking, genealogy, and politics. Loved her and will miss her. If the family sees this, she loved you all so much. God bless.
And to Irene, may you feel my love and friendship on the other side. ❤️
