VACCA – KATHLEEN M. of East Meadow, NY died peacefully on March 9, 2024. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph, cherished granddaughter, Stephanie, and her sisters Genevieve and Patricia. Devoted mother of Patricia Smith (Gary), Joseph Jr. (Karen) and Paul (Jen). Loving nana of 8 grandchildren. Caring sister to Alice and Carol. Kathy was a perfectionist with a great eye for color, which was demonstrated by her wardrobe, home decorating, and beautiful crocheted blankets, hats, and scarfs, of which she donated to many charities over the years. Besides crocheting, Kathy also enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking, doing word puzzles, reading, watching T.V., and talking to friends and family on the phone. She prided herself on her clean home and beautiful garden. Besides her children, grandchildren, and sisters, she will be sorely missed by her many nieces and nephews along with her very good friends and neighbors. As per her wishes, there will be no wake and her ashes will be buried with her husband. May she rest in peace.
