We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Katherine Ann Ward on July 26, 2024, at the age of 33. Beloved daughter of Sean Ward and Lisa Peruski, and cherished wife of Richard Evans, Katherine is also survived by her stepmother Kerri Roloson, her sister Julia Forsyth, and her uncles James and Ethan Ward and Mark Peruski. Katherine leaves behind many loving family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Katherine was a proud alumnus of the Class of 2009 at General Douglas MacArthur High School and served honorably in the U.S. Army as a Korean Linguist. Her service and dedication to her country were exemplary and will always be remembered. Funeral services will be held at the Charles J. O'Shea Funeral Home at 603 Wantagh Avenue, Wantagh, NY. The wake will take place on Wednesday, August 7th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Thursday, August 8th, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a burial service at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY. Katherine's strength, kindness, and dedication will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
