Obituary

Michael was born in Brooklyn on March 22, 1946 to Michael Falabella and Jennie Palma Falabella. He was the older brother of Joan. In 1952, the family moved to Merrick, New York where Michael attended school and graduated from Calhoun High School in 1964. Being the friendly and warm person that everyone will remember, Michael made friendships during those years that have lasted to this present day. Michael entered the Army in 1966 and spent two years in service. Upon his discharge, Michael completed studies for an Associates degree at Nassau Community College and a BA at Hofstra University. In April of 1971, Michael married Linda Quinto at the Point Lookout Community Church where he worshipped every Sunday until his final days. Michael and Linda were blessed with two children, LyAnn and Michael, Jr and two children-in-law, Joe and Marjorie. Michael adored his five grandchildren; Emily, Micci, Joey, Matthew and Nina and great-granddaughter, Adriana. His love of family flowed over to extended family, most assuredly, his nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.

*****************************************************

Michael began his career in printing work for Moore Business Forms for several years. However, for the majority of his career, he was the President of MJF Business Forms in Manhattan. Retirement gave Michael opportunity to travel with his wife and spend time with his family. He loved the beaches of Point Lookout and Sanibel Island, Florida. He loved to sit in the sun and "get his vitamin D". His beautiful tan was the envy of many. He was a loyal Mets and Jets fan no matter how poorly they performed. Michael also spent time helping others by delivering their mail, driving them to appointments, helping with light work around their home, babysitting and so much more. Michael just had a knack of making people know how important they were to him. Michael went home to be with Jesus on August 14, 2024, but his kindness, generosity, loving manner and all that he encompassed will be his legacy to all who he loved so well.
