Tommy and I shared a classroom for eight years at Our Lady of the most Blessed Sacrament grade school in Bayside, NY. We sat in the same row, in alphabetic order. I hadn’t seen him in almost 60 years but he kept in touch with another of our classmates, Tim O’Toole, who I still pal around with. This spring Tim and I went to NY to golf in the old neighborhood, and Tommy joined us. It was wonderful to see him again, as though all of the years between didn’t matter. I took the attached photo of Tommy and Tim at Clearview Golf Course in Bayside. His passing comes as a shock and I’m saddened to lose an old friend that I’ve known fondly my entire life.

My condolences to the Mahoney family about Tom passing on into heaven. I've known Tom since 1985 when I first started at Trans-Lux and he was a mentor to me over the years and has been very instrumental in my family and my successes in Life. Tom and I have been very good friends over the years and will miss him dearly.

Tom was a great friend who helped me more than once. I looked forward to seeing him on his visits out West. Back in the day he was the coolest guy with the coolest car - a hot ‘57 Chevy convertible! We kept in touch through the years and discussed his devotion to family and his work with Ronald MacDonald House. My sincere condolences to Donna and the Mahoney familly

Here is Tom with some of his golf buddies at a LI Ducks baseball game on July 20th, 2024. Tom was always a lot of fun and a great friend. He was brave until it was his time to go. Tom will be sorely missed.
