Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Costa on October 30, 2024, at the age of 66, at her home. Born on March 11, 1958, in Hempstead, NY. She was a lifelong resident of the Bellmores. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to many.
Patricia was deeply devoted to her Christian faith and found great strength in her relationship with God. She was an active member of St. Raphael's Church, she later aligned herself with a non denominational church and supported her husband in the worship ministry, handing out food and clothing to the needy, and was in the nursing home ministry.
Patricia was predeceased by her beloved brother, Ron. She is survived by her loving husband, Rick; sons, Andrew and Trevor; grandchildren, Hailey and Ellie; and siblings, Nick, Jim, Tom, and Renae. In addition, Patricia leaves behind a family of spiritual sons and daughters whom she welcomed with open arms into her life and home.

Patricia's career journey began as a dental assistant at the young age of 16, where she quickly demonstrated her exceptional skill and dedication. She was promoted to office manager, and her passion for the dental field remained a significant part of her life for many years. A proud graduate of Mepham High School, Patricia later attended SUNY Farmingdale before earning her diploma in accounting from Nassau Community College in December 2002. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and was in the top 1% of her class, a testament to her hard work and commitment to excellence.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Patricia was a lifelong culinary arts enthusiast. Self-taught, she found joy in exploring new recipes and perfecting her cooking skills. She also had a deep appreciation for a glass of good white wine.
Patricia’s love for the ocean was evident in her many trips to the beach, where she felt most at home. She was an avid reader, especially of fiction novels, and cherished the moments spent getting lost in a good book. Above all, Patricia was a deeply committed and loving family member, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at O’ Shea Funeral Home 2515 North Jerusalem Rd East Meadow, NY 11554 on November 20th, 2024 between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to Word of Life Ministries PO Box 505 11520.
Rest in peace, Patricia. Your kindness, strength, and fire will never be forgotten.
