On behalf of the staff and volunteers of the Cradle of Aviation Museum, we honor the life and legacy of Edward J. Smits. Ed's passion, vision, and determination were the heart and soul of the museum's creation. His tireless efforts preserved Long Island's aviation history and inspired countless visitors over the years. We are profoundly grateful for his leadership and the foundation he built for future generations. Ed’s legacy will always be cherished, and his contributions celebrated for many years to come.
